Time for Counselling

Counselling/psychotherapy involves talking to someone who is trained to listen in a supportive, empathic and non-judgemental way. It is a professional and confidential service with the client’s best interest at heart.

As such, it is an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings about any issues that may trouble you and keep you from living life more fully. These could include relationship problems, worries about the future or memories from the past.

Talking to a counsellor or psychotherapist can lead to a greater awareness and better understanding of your issues and thus help you to resolve them. It may involve considering new perspectives or seeing options you weren't previously aware of. Counselling/therapy may also lead to greater self-acceptance and thus positively impact on self-esteem.

A counsellor/therapist doesn’t usually give advice but encourages you to discuss, reflect and work on your issues and thus find the answers for yourself.
